Brooklyn Tornado – Caught on Tape [NSFW] [VIDEO]

Brooklyn Tornado Video - Twister hits BrooklynYesterday a freak storm in Brooklyn, New York spawned a tornado. Yes, I just said it, a twister in Brooklyn. Now I can tell you one thing this doesn’t happen a lot on the right coast. Most of the time when you think tornadoes your thinking the mid-west like Oklahoma and Texas.

What’s more, two guys in their Brooklyn apartment caught the freak tornado video. These crazy “dudes” (you’ll understand why it’s in quotes once you listen to them talking) actually filmed the twister as it went right by their apartment. Pretty insane. Check out the video below.

Google Streetview at the Olympics – Not Just On The Street

So we all know Google is extremely innovative. From Google Voice to Google Wave, the company is full of new ideas that blur the line between just ideas and reality.

Google Maps revolutionized the way people look at geography and get their directions. With Streetview, people can view their favorite city from the perspective of being on the ground.

With the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver starting tomorrow, (Friday, February 12) Google has once again pushed the envelope and has created street views of not just the Olympic sites that are viewable by their cars, but also the ski slopes. They have a new snowmobile that takes viewers on a new an exciting visual journey down the slopes of Whistler, BC where the ski events are being held.

Check out the Google video all about this new feature:

What do you think of Google and it’s innovations? What do you think about being able to view the ski slopes first hand? Post your thoughts in the comments.

What has 2009 meant to me

As the hours go closer and closer to the annual celebrate we know as New Years, I can’t help but look back at 2009 with a grin on my face and a proud sense of accomplishment. In 2009, I’ve had my best year so far for my company, Goldstein Media. I celebrated my first anniversary to the love of my life, my wife and I’ve renewed old relationships and forged new ones. 2009 has, overall, been a good year for me. You won’t see me complaining. I’ve grown as a person and for that I’m very thankful.

In 2009, I started up a joint venture with, a now close friend and colleague, Neal Wiser, called A2SM. A2SM is about social media and our addiction to it. It stands for Addicted to Social Media, which many of us are. What makes this friendship with Neal even better is that we met originally at an event in King of Prussia for Twitter enthusiasts. It’s really amazing how far we’ve come in one short year.

I’m really looking forward to 2010, new adventures and projects, as well as new friendships and, of course, new technology.

So here’s to a great past year and here’s to an even better 2010. Have a great night everyone and be safe.
